“Choose to Lose” 2020 Weight Loss Challenge

Who can participate?

Meridian Weight is co-sponsoring the “Choose to Lose” 2020 Weight Loss Challenge with Clarkdale Fitness Center. The challenge is open to anyone, as long as you are over 18 years old, not pregnant, have a BMI over 25 and do not have an eating disorder.

What exactly is the challenge?

Choose to Lose” is a 10 week on-line 💻 competition. To get started, you pay a $25 registration fee. Then, you submit photos of yourself(one from the front and one from the side) and a photo showing your weight on a scale at the beginning of the competition, every two weeks, and at the end of the competition. Weight loss will be calculated on % of total body weight lost. For example: say your starting weight is 175 pounds and you lose 25 pounds, then your % lost = 25 divided by 175, multiplied by 100, or 14.3% of your total body weight.

The first place winner will receive 60% of all of the registration fees. Second place winner will receive 25% of all of the registration fees. Third place winner will receive 10% of all of the registration fees and a 6 month gym membership at https://clarkdalefitness.com. Fourth place winner will receive a 1-year gym membership at https://clarkdalefitness.com.

When?

Now is the time to sign up! This competition begins January 6, 2020 and ends March 16, 2020. Registration fee of $25 must be received prior to 10:00 am (CST) on January 6, 2020 and is nonrefundable. Winners will be announced on https://meridianweight.net/ and https://clarkdalefitness.com no later than March 18, 2020 at 10:00 (CST).

Why participate in “Choose to Lose”?

Losing weight ranks highly as one of the top 2020 New Years Resolutions. Participating in the “Choose to Lose” competition, lets you get the accountability you need to meet this resolution. Paying as little as $25 to register makes you more invested in your goal. Similarly, knowing you are submitting photos every two weeks is a great motivator to stick to your healthy eating and exercise plan. How?

  1. Register for “Choose to Lose “at https://meridianweight.net/ and pay registration fee of $25, no later than 10:00 am (CST) on 1/6/20.
  2. Submit one front and one side photo (showing head to knees) no later than 10:00 am (CST) on EACH of the following dates: 1/6/20, 1/20/2020, 2/3/2020, 2/17/2020, 3/2/20, and 3/16/20. Photos from 1/6/20 and 3/16/20 must be submitted with the participant dressed in the same clothing.
  3. Submit a photo showing their weight on a digital scale no later than 10:00 am (CST) on EACH of the following dates: 1/6/20, 1/20/2020, 2/3/2020, 2/17/2020, 3/2/20, and 3/16/20.
